I'm Rolland. I've served in the US military for 13 years as an E-6. In July 2026 I decided to stop leaving my financial future to chance and built Diers Capital — a personal investment office with real governing documents, a real committee process, and automated AI agents that run daily. I put in $50 every week. Every decision is documented. Every mistake will be published. Nothing is hidden.
I'm not a finance expert. I'm not trying to get rich quick. I'm playing a long game — and I'm doing it in public so you can follow along, learn with me, or just watch what happens when an ordinary person runs their personal finances like a real investment office.
Follow the JourneyWhy military service changes the math. After 20 years of service I'll have a guaranteed pension under the Blended Retirement System (BRS), tax-free VA disability income, and TRICARE — near-free healthcare for life. That guaranteed income floor means I can take a long-term approach to investing without fear of running out of money. Most investors don't have that luxury. I'm using it.

Most people buy stocks based on tips, headlines, or gut feelings. I built a system instead.
Every trade is reviewed by an 11-member AI committee — CIO, Portfolio Manager, Fundamental Analyst, Valuation Analyst, Macro Strategist, Devil's Advocate, Red Team, Chief Risk Officer and more. No trade passes without committee consensus.
Investment Policy Statement. Risk Management Manual. Fundamental Analysis Manual. Valuation Manual. Digital Assets Division. And more. Built like a real fund — because I wanted to treat my $50/week like it mattered.
Market monitor every 15 minutes. Daily research screener across 35 watchlist names. Weekly digest. Monthly newsletter. Quarterly and annual reviews. It all runs automatically — I just check in and approve trades.
The most important rule: "The default action is HOLD. Selling requires stronger evidence than buying. AI is a tool — not the decision maker. No trade may be executed without explicit human approval." — Diers Capital Constitution
Win or lose, every trade gets a full write-up. The committee reasoning, the risks we identified, and whether the thesis held up.
Bought META at a sentiment-driven dip. The advertising business was strong (+28% revenue YoY) but Q2 earnings revealed FCF collapsed from $8.55B to $784M due to massive AI capex spending. Thesis is strained but not broken. The committee started a 2-quarter invalidation clock — Q3 2026 earnings (~October) is the critical test. If FCF doesn't recover, we sell. Until then, we hold.
Bought MSFT at the bottom of our entry zone. One day later, Q4 FY2026 earnings dropped — Azure grew 43% YoY and crossed $100B annual run rate for the first time. Copilot hit 30M+ paid seats. Stock jumped 15%+ in a day. The committee confirmed the thesis and recommended holding — trimming on Day 1 after confirmation would have been a mistake. Still well below our $530 fair value estimate.
| Ticker | Conviction | Quality | Valuation | Risk | Status |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| META | 72 | 70 | 70 | 80 | LOCKED — at cap |
| TSM | 70 | 80 | 40 | 90 | ELIGIBLE |
| NVDA | 70 | 80 | 40 | 90 | ELIGIBLE |
| MA | 70 | 90 | 40 | 70 | ELIGIBLE |
| MSFT | 68 | 80 | 50 | 70 | HELD |
Scores are Tier 3 signals only — they determine research priority, not buy decisions. Every entry still goes through the full 11-member committee.
